Faculty Meetings


Faculty Meetings:
Members of the faculty convene monthly to discuss pertinent departmental business matters. The purpose of the meetings are to discuss and arrive at decisions related to departmental business including administration, teaching, research, faculty appointments and programmatic issues. An agenda is prepared for each meeting to facilitate the tracking of items and to document progress and decisions. Attendance is required of all full-time Healthcare Policy and Research faculty.

Grant Workshops: Members of the faculty convene on the fourth Tuesday of each month to learn more about grant opportunities and applying for funding from a variety of sources. The workshops feature presentations by department faculty and other experts. Attendance is required of all full-time Healthcare Policy and Research faculty.

Research in Progress Seminars: Faculty members present research projects in progress to obtain feedback and suggestions. These seminars are for Department of Healthcare Policy and Research faculty as well as the general community. Continuing Medical Education credit is available for physicians.

Healthcare Policy and Research Grand Rounds: The Department of Healthcare Policy and Research Grand Rounds are held the third Tuesday of the month. Local and national experts are invited to present on areas of interest related to the research portfolio of the department. The sessions provide an opportunity for faculty to meet with the speaker in an informal setting. Department faculty as well as the general community are invited. Continuing Medical Education credit is available for physicians.
