Master of Science in Health Policy and Economics

The Master of Science in Health Policy and Economics trains students to be leading policy analysts and researchers working to identify the most effective ways to organize, manage, finance and deliver high quality healthcare. The program provides a strong foundation in healthcare research methods with specialized training in health economics, health policy, data analytics, and implementation science. Each student acquires hands-on experience through a faculty-mentored research project that begins in the first term and culminates in a thesis. The program is offered through the Department of Healthcare Policy & Research, which has close ties to other departments within the medical college and university, the Cornell NYC Tech campus, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Full-time students can complete the program in 12 months, and part-time students in 18-24 months.
