Our Certificate in Health Analytics is designed to prepare students for careers in the state-of-the-art analysis of health data. Health-related organizations of all kinds are generating more data than ever before, and they increasingly need quantitative methods to transform data into information that can support effective decision-making. By combining evening course offerings with world-class faculty, our certificate program is oriented toward working professionals seeking cross-training in a new field or professional development within their current field.
Our faculty are nationally recognized experts in a wide range of fields including health informatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, comparative effectiveness, and health outcomes. They have an enormous reservoir of both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in many different aspects of healthcare, as well as personal networks of connections with academia and industry.
Being in New York City is a huge asset for our program. Local institutions collaborating with Weill Cornell Medicine include NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the Hospital for Special Surgery, The Rockefeller University, the State Department of Health, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and more.
Our students come from a multitude of different backgrounds, such as medicine, allied health, and information technology. Some have just completed their bachelor’s degree, while others may have a graduate degree or have been in the field for several years. This diversity in the makeup of our students helps establish a collaborative learning environment where our students learn not only from our faculty, but also from each other.
