Dr. Nathaniel Hupert: Director’s Recognition Award

Dr. Nathaniel Hupert, associate professor of medicine and associate professor of healthcare policy and research, received the Director’s Recognition Award from the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Hupert, who received the award on Sept. 23, was recognized for his role in the Health Economics Modeling Unit, which rapidly provided leadership with a comprehensive analysis of H7N9 strategies including airport screening, school closings, vaccination, anti-viral drugs, respiratory protective devices and mechanical ventilators. The center aims to prevent disease, disability and death caused by a wide range of infectious diseases.
